Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab RN for a Magnet-designated acute care hospital requiring 2 years of lab experience and CA RN licensure.

Day shift 4x10s, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, with on-call ~7 days/month and 1 weekend/month; Epic charting, procedural sedation, and generous housing/travel reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 2 years of IR or Cath Lab experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES or RCIS, and NIHSS.
• Epic experience required for IR RNs; highly preferred for Cath Lab RNs.
• Procedural sedation skills required.
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Work in Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab in a 426-bed Magnet hospital.
• Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Mon–Fri.
• On-call ~7 days per month, including 1 weekend per month (Fri-Sun PM) plus 1 day per week.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Provide nursing care for IR and/or cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, vascular and neurological studies, and procedural sedation monitoring.
• Free parking on-site.
• May float between sister facilities as needed.
• First-time travelers require at least 2 years lab experience.
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within 50-mile radius.
• Providence employees must wait 3 months before traveling and reside outside 50 miles.
• Must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront at consideration; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an IR or Cath Lab setting, including in a 2-room lab within a 250-bed facility
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES or CCI RCIS, and NIHSS
• Epic experience required for IR RNs; highly preferred for Cath Lab RNs
• Procedural sedation skills required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, within a comparable specialty/setting

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab department of a 426-bed acute care Magnet hospital
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call required approximately 7 days per month, including 1 weekend per month (Fri-Sun PM) plus 1 day per week
• Uses Epic for charting
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
• Provide nursing care for interventional radiology and/or cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, vascular and neurological studies, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Free parking provided on-site
• May be required to float between sister facilities as needed
• First-time travelers accepted only if they have at least 2 years of lab experience (hard requirement)
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former Providence employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
