Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position in High Point, NC, requiring 2+ years of critical care/Cath Lab experience and NC or compact RN licensure. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. The role is a 40-hour week with 10-hour day shifts and rotating on-call coverage.

The Cath Lab handles 5–15 cases daily in a high-acuity setting with EPIC EMR and Hemosystem monitoring; orientation includes NEO and department training, with no floating and scrub-provided facilities.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/Cath Lab experience required.
• Skills in dysrhythmias and moderate sedation required.
• Perivascular and high acuity STEMI case experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Community-based teaching hospital in High Point, NC with 351 licensed beds.
• Cardiac Catheterization department handling 5-15 cases per day.
• Cases include Impella, IVUS, OCT, IABP, and RFR procedures.
• Uses EPIC EMR and Hemosystem Hemodynamic Monitoring equipment.
• 10-hour day shifts, 7a-5:30p, 40 hours per week.
• Rotating on-call shifts required: weekdays 1730-0700, weekends and holidays 7a-7a.
• Weekend rotation every 5th weekend with holiday on-call rotation.
• No floating required.
• 3-person call team structure (RN/RT/RCIS in any combination).
• Fast-paced, high-acuity department culture.
• Scrubs provided and free parking available.
• Orientation includes 1 week of NEO and 2 days of departmental training.

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/Cath Lab experience required
• Skills in dysrhythmias and moderate sedation required
• Perivascular and high acuity STEMI case experience preferred
• Knowledge of vascular cases required
• Most recent experience within the last year required
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within one year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
