Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Registered Nurse Case Manager for an acute care case management and utilization review role. The position requires Epic EMR experience and prior travel assignment experience, with a focus on care coordination and discharge planning.

The role involves working a 5x8 schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), floating between two nearby facilities, with every other weekend and a 3-of-5 holiday commitment. Travel may include related facilities within 50 miles for local rates.

Qualifications

Active California RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission).
Minimum 2 years of acute care case management/discharge planning experience.
Prior travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers may be considered upon screening.
Epic EMR experience required.
Two references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (may include Charge RNs or Leads).

Responsibilities

Case management/utilization review in an acute hospital setting.
Care coordination and discharge planning.
Discharge criteria review and utilization review using InterQual criteria.
Work day: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 5x8 hours; float between two facilities ~30 minutes apart.
Every other weekend and 3 of 5 major holidays.
Travel may require floating between sister facilities near the contracted site.
Must reside within 50 miles of the facility for local candidate rate.
Must disclose prior work history with the health system.
