Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute hospital setting in Michigan. Active MI RN licensure and Epic EMR experience are required. The role involves care coordination, discharge planning, and prior authorizations.

The position follows a day shift (0830-1700) with one weekend per month and no on-call duties. Some opportunities for travel, with orientation provided for Epic training.

Qualifications

Active MI RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted).
Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required.
Epic EMR experience required.
BLS and other AHA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform Case Management and Utilization Review within acute hospital setting.
Work day shift, 5x8 hours (0830-1700).
One weekend per month; may substitute weekend for a weekday shift.
No on-call requirements; floating to inpatient units as needed.
Conduct admission review, care coordination, discharge planning, and DME ordering.
Manage medical necessity per guidelines and handle appeals/denials.
Ensure CMS and HIPAA compliance; Epic training provided at orientation.
First-time travelers may be considered; local candidates welcome at travel rates.
