Qualifications

Responsibilities

• No on-call requirements; floating to inpatient units as needed.
• Conduct admission review, care coordination, discharge planning, and DME ordering.
• Manage medical necessity per guidelines and handle appeals/denials.
• Ensure CMS and HIPAA compliance; Epic training provided at orientation.
• First-time travelers may be considered; local candidates welcome at travel rates.

Responsibilities

• Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review department
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5x8 hours (0830-1700)
• One weekend per month required, working a weekend day in place of a weekday shift
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to any inpatient unit as a case manager
• Responsibilities include admission criteria review, care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment/DME ordering, plan of care development, and prior authorizations
• Determines medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines and manages appeals and denials
• Ensures compliance with CMS and HIPAA regulatory guidelines
• Epic training provided during orientation
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Returning core staff must wait 12 months before reapplying
• Maximum 5 days of RTO permitted per assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
