American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital setting in California. Candidates must hold a CA RN license and have at least 2 years of acute hospital case management experience, with Epic EMR experience and prior travel nursing.

This role includes coordinating patient care across departments, discharge planning, and going through admission criteria and prior authorizations.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate patient care across acute hospital settings including ED, ICU, MS, Pediatrics, and SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs.
• Perform care coordination and discharge planning.
• Handle needs assessments and prior authorizations.
• Day shift 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; every other weekend.
• Float between like units as needed.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Use Epic charting system.
• Travel nursing support and potential facility floating within system.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, DRG, HIPAA, and Joint Commission guidelines.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2 years of acute hospital case management experience and a CA RN license.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of acute hospital Case Management experience performing care coordination and discharge planning
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers may be considered with clinical manager approval
• Required Epic EMR experience
• Experience with admission criteria, appeals and denials, benefits eligibility, discharge planning, needs assessment/DME ordering, and prior authorizations
• Familiarity with CMS, DRG, HIPAA, and Joint Commission/Core Measures regulatory guidelines
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute hospital Case Management department
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required between like units based on facility need
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic charting system
• Coordinate patient care across acute hospital settings including Emergency Department, ICU, Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, and SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs units
• Perform care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessments, and prior authorization duties
• Workers' compensation case management experience preferred
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of application
• Local candidates accepted
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies, with local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including dates and location
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the system
