American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position in Oregon, requiring 2+ years of cardiac critical care and BLS/ACLS certification. The role involves blended CVICU/CVIMCU duties, 3x12-hour day shifts, and frequent floating across CVICU/ICU/PCU units, with a focus on advanced cardiac critical care.

The position emphasizes arterial line management, ventilator care, and vasoactive drips, within a top heart program, and offers generous housing and travel

Qualifications

• Oregon RN license is required.
• Oregon CNA license is required (pending CNA licenses not accepted).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required.
• Telemetry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Blended cardiovascular care unit with 18 CVICU beds and 12 CVIMCU beds.
• Cares for patients 16+ with primary cardiac diagnoses (e.g., heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, CABG, valve repair, IABP therapy, Impella).
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Constant floating between CVCU/ICU/PCU units, with priority floating to West Valley Hospital ~15 minutes away.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Provide specialized cardiac critical care within a nationally recognized heart program.
• Multidisciplinary team with ongoing training on IABP, CRRT, targeted temperature management, VADs.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2+ years of cardiac critical care experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required
• Active Oregon CNA license required (pending CNA licenses not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Strong cardiovascular nursing experience required, including skills such as arterial line management, central/PICC line care, ventilator management, IABP, Impella, CVVHD/CRRT, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips

Responsibilities

• Blended cardiovascular care unit with 18 CVICU beds and 12 CVIMCU beds
• Cares for patients 16 years and older with primary cardiac diagnoses including heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, CT surgery (CABG, valve repair/replacement, VATS/thoracotomy), IABP therapy, Impella insertion, post PCI, pacemaker insertion, ablation, arrhythmia, and STEMI/NSTEMI
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Constant floating required between CVCU/ICU/PCU units, with priority floating to West Valley Hospital approximately 15 minutes away
• Epic charting experience required
• Provide specialized cardiac critical care within a nationally recognized heart program, honored as a Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital and recipient of the AACN Silver Beacon Award
• Multidisciplinary team environment with a strong focus on ongoing training and mentoring, including education on IABP, CRRT, targeted temperature management, and ventricular assist devices
• Former employees of the health system are not eligible for travel assignments until six months have passed since termination
• Candidates may only be submitted to one position within the health system at a time
• RTO must be finalized prior to consideration, as late requests may impact eligibility
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
