Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CCU position requiring open-heart and post-cardiac surgery recovery experience. You will care for complex cardiac patients in a hospital setting, using Epic EMR and adhering to travel workflow.

The 18-week assignment features 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), patient ratios of 1:2–3, and potential intra-hospital floating. Local travelers welcome under same terms. Housing allowance and travel reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (preferred).
• Minimum 2-3 years of CCU/ICU experience required.
• Open-heart surgery experience required, recovery of fresh post-surgical patients.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac/Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of a hospital setting.
• 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

• Floating within the hospital may be required based on patient care needs.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CCU position requiring open-heart and post-cardiac surgery recovery experience.

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (preferred)
• Minimum 2-3 years of CCU/ICU experience required
• Open-heart surgery experience required, including recovery of fresh post-surgical patients
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and IV therapy
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory care
• Experience with cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and dysrhythmia management
• Preferred experience with cardiac assist devices such as Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac/Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of a hospital setting

• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per assignment, with all requests disclosed at time of consideration
• No block schedules will be accepted for this assignment
• Required orientation modules completed and signed off by facility managers
• Local travelers accepted under the same terms as non-local candidates
• Travel pairs accepted for this assignment
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
