Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Observation unit position requiring Telemetry/Med-Surg experience and current Epic EMR proficiency.

The role includes floating to other Med-Surg units as needed, a 36-hour week on day shift, and every other weekend. You must pass Telemetry/BCRA and Epic proficiency tests on day one to continue.

Qualifications

• Active OH or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years Telemetry/Med-Surg experience required.
• Must be able to read Telemetry/BCRA and will be tested on this skill on day one.
• Current Epic EMR proficiency required; refresher classes or 1:1 training not accepted as substitutes.

Responsibilities

• Primarily works on the 3 North Long Term Observation unit.
• Floating to other Med-Surg units (Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac) and possibly the ED if appropriately skilled.
• Day shift schedule (7a-7:30p) for 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend required.
• On-call is a rare occurrence.
• Will be tested on Telemetry/BCRA competency on first day and terminated immediately if unable to pass.
• Will be terminated immediately if Epic proficiency is not demonstrated.
• Returning Genesis travelers within 9 months may be eligible for alternate start dates; all other candidates must start on the specified date.
