Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Telemetry/Observation Unit position requiring MD or compact RN license and dysrhythmia management experience.

Responsibilities include short-stay observation care with cardiac telemetry, RN/patient ratios of 4:1 or 5:1, and a 12-hour day shift. Must reside outside a 60-mile radius; travel assignments preferred.

Qualifications

• Active MD or compact RN license
• BLS certification
• Dysrhythmia management experience
• NIHSS certification
• EPIC experience preferred
• 1-2 prior travel assignments preferred
• Comparable facility size experience required

Responsibilities

• Short-stay observation unit treating adult patients
• Cardiac telemetry and short-stay observation cases with target length of stay under 30 hours
• Med Surg Tele or IMC level of care
• RN/patient ratio of 4:1 or 5:1 depending on acuity
• Day shift 12-hour schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Float within skill set
• No on-call availability required
• Provide care for cardiac telemetry and short-stay observation patients
• One winter holiday coverage required (Christmas or New Year’s)
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
