Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN Telemetry professional for a Pulmonary/Thoracic unit. Candidates must hold a GA or Compact RN license and have 18 months of RN experience; ventilator, trach, and chest-tube skills are required. Epic EMR experience is preferred.

This travel assignment features a 3x12 night schedule (36 hrs/week), no on-call, comprehensive benefits, housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursement, and competitive pay with bonuses.

Qualifications

• Active RN license GA or Compact.
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum 18 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Pulmonary/Thoracic unit of a hospital environment.
• Night shift schedule with 3x12hr shifts totaling 36 hrs/week.
• 30-minute meal break included per shift.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Uses Epic EMR system.
• Performs telemetry interpretation for assigned patients.
• Provide telemetry-based nursing care to pulmonary and thoracic patients.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility as local candidates are not accepted.
• Former Emory or Houston system employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning, or 18 months if returning to the same facility.
• RTO requests are limited to 5 days if not near a holiday, or 3 days if requested on or near a holiday, with only 1 holiday request allowed per assignment.
• Holiday RTO days must be spread out rather than consecutive.
• Candidates should not carry more than 5 days of RTO requests to avoid assignment denial.
