Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position in South Carolina. Requires at least 2 years in Cardiac Telemetry and SC or compact RN license, with BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications and EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities include inpatient care on a Cardiac Telemetry unit, monitoring and managing dysrhythmias, and delivering emergent therapies. Night shifts are 19:00–07:30 with occasional weekend coverage and facility-driven float.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry or similar unit experience.
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for adults on inpatient Cardiac Telemetry unit with life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions.
• Monitor cardiac status, respond to dysrhythmias, and manage therapies as ordered.
• Administer vasoactive drugs, antiarrhythmics, thrombolytics when indicated; perform defibrillation/cardioversion.
• Operate EPIC EMR and document patient care and events.
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30; every other weekend coverage.
• Floating to like units as needed; orientation and compliance training weekly.
• Travel pay depends on distance from facilities; pre-assignment testing required.

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiac Telemetry or similar unit
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Cardiac Telemetry unit caring for adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease
• Patient population may include cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
• Performs vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, thrombolytic therapy, defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend coverage required, subject to change based on facility need
• Floating required to like units or other facilities depending on census needs
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Provides cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and management of dysrhythmias for telemetry patients
• Orientation occurs every Monday along with annual compliance training
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules required for all travelers, to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay, with reduced rates for 90-99.9 miles
• Night shift candidates for this specialty must live at least 50 miles from the contracted campus, with reduced pay for 50-99.9 miles and ineligibility under 50 miles
