Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac PCU/Stepdown position in Texas, requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a TX license.

Responsibilities include working in acute care, cath lab recovery, 7a-7p days with every other weekend, using Paragon EMR, and completing a 13-week contract.

Applicants must have ACLS/BLS, 2 years' experience, and references; travel and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Cardiac drip titration experience required.
• Experience pulling sheaths and monitoring sites.
• General med/surg patient knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Cardiac PCU/Stepdown unit in an acute care hospital setting.
• Cath lab recovery/observation unit.
• Day shift schedule, 7a-7p, every other weekend.
• Uses Paragon EMR.
• 13-week contract.
• Provide care for cardiac stepdown and cath lab recovery patients.
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility.
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year.
• PRN employment through outside staffing firms is acceptable.
