Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a busy Level 1 Trauma hospital unit in Texas. Requires active TX or compact RN license and minimum 2 years RN experience.

Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required, with experience in cardiac drips. Travel nursing experience and strong references are preferred. You'll work a 12-hour night shift schedule with every other weekend, floating as needed, on a high-demand telemetry unit using EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with amiodarone, heparin, Cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine drips.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Two professional references with dates of employment and rehire eligibility.
• Driver's license copy required.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit care for Cardiac patients in a Level 1 Trauma hospital.
• Focus on CHF and post Cath Lab patients.
• 12-hour shifts with 48 hours per week; night shift with EOW.
• Must be flexible with scheduling and float as needed.
• Work with EPIC EMR.

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Telemetry RN for a busy Level 1 Trauma hospital unit, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required, pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Experience with Amiodarone, heparin, Cardizem, Dopamine, and Dobutamine drips required
• Previous travel nursing experience and busy hospital experience preferred
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care telemetry unit (14 Tower Cardio) within a busy, large Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Focus on congestive heart failure and post Cath Lab patients
• Night shift schedule with every other weekend (EOW) required
• No self-scheduling; candidates must be flexible with scheduling
• Required to float and is first in line to float when needed
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• 12-hour shifts, 48 guaranteed hours per week
• Provide nursing care to cardiac patients with CHF and post-Cath Lab needs
• Candidates with 3+ years of experience and prior travel assignments at busy hospitals tend to be most successful in this role
• Daily and monthly parking available on/off campus at an additional cost
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside staffing firms is acceptable
