Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab role in Florida. Requires cath lab experience with Impella, IABP, and ventilator management for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities include a 2-lab unit staffed with 1–2 RNs and 1–2 techs per lab, day shift 7A–3P, and on-call night coverage. Procedures include LHC, RHC, PCI, Shockwave, PPM, Impella, and IABP.

Qualifications

• Active FL RN license required.
• Cath lab experience with Impella, IABP, and ventilator management required.
• Vascular/peripheral intervention and EP experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year recent cath lab experience.
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of start.
• No employment gaps of 90+ days in past 12 months.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• Florida requires two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Operate Cardiac Cath Lab unit (2 labs; 10 staff).
• Staffing: day shift 1–2 RNs and 1–2 techs per lab; 3 staff per case.
• Night shift: on-call with 3-person team.
• Patient ratio: 1:1 with on-call coverage.
• Use GE equipment and Meditech EMR.
• Day shift: 7A–3P.
• Procedures: LHC, RHC, PCI, Shockwave, PPM, Impella, IABP.
• Work every other weekend and holidays in rotation.
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius; no local candidates.

• 1 year of recent experience in cardiac cath lab specialty required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start (AHA or ARC accepted)
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Florida requires two professional references

• Independent personality with a strong work ethic is ideal for this unit
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates will be considered
