Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Fresno, CA is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to independently perform respiratory care procedures, interpret orders, assess resident needs, deliver prescribed therapy and evaluate responses. You will function as consultant, educator, and clinician to clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist licensed in CA.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ventilator unit experience required; LTC or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication with residents, families, staff, physicians, and agencies.
• Knowledge of CA/state and federal guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care procedures and interpret physician orders.
• Administer prescribed therapy and monitor resident response.
• Manage ventilator support, airway care, and noninvasive monitoring.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and educate clinical staff.
• Coordinate with care teams for discharge planning and equipment needs.
