Job summary

Trinity Health Grand Rapids seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist for its FirstChoice RT mobile staffing program. This role offers premium pay, maximum scheduling flexibility, and assignments across the health system for short- or long-term needs.

You will float across hospital locations, adhere to AARC guidelines, and collaborate with physicians and staff. Travel/per diem options, daily pay, and license/certification reimbursements are available.

Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapist qualification and credentials essential.
• Registry eligible or equivalent certification.
• Current RRT credential and state license as applicable.

What you will do:

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
• Current RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

• ** Only for nurses coming to Michigan from out of state, over 60 miles from home to hospital. You cannot work in the same metropolitan area greater than 12 months in order to receive this rate. **
