Job summary

Trinity Health Grand Rapids is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for FirstChoice assignments across the health system. This role offers premium compensation and maximum flexibility with nationwide and regional opportunities.

As a FirstChoice RT, you may float across hospital locations, follow AARC guidelines, and collaborate with care teams. Nights shifts and 3x12 schedules are common, with daily pay and license/certification reimbursement.

Qualifications

• CRT and/or RRT credentials currently held.
• Current state Respiratory Care license if required.
• Graduate of a two-year Accredited Respiratory Therapist program; registry eligible.
• Strong communication with patients and staff.
• Proficiency with Windows and hospital IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Float across hospital locations and regions as needed.

What you will do

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Acts independently & appropriately within scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
• Current CRT and/or RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
