Job summary

Trinity Health's FirstChoice RT travel program at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for 12-hour day shifts. You will float across hospital locations, follow AARC guidelines, and contribute to quality and outcomes within a flexible staffing model.

This role offers premium pay, daily pay options, travel and per diem opportunities, and license/certification reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner- Accredited Respiratory Therapist program; Registry eligible.
• Current RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care where required.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, physicians and staff.
• Analytical skills to identify patient needs.
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

What you will do:

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
• Current RRT credential .
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working .
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Gross Weekly Rate: $2160.00

Pay Range: $32.22-$35.00 per hour + Tax Free Allowance if Qualified or $60 per hour for local
Actual compensation offered will be within the range stated above but vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, and certification requirements, as well as comparisons to current colleagues in similar roles.
