American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a Level III Trauma Center in Washington. The role requires an active WA license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 1 year of experience with Epic charting.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway support, and coverage across ICU, ED, pediatrics, and NICU. Night shifts, some weekend work, and potential travel between facilities are involved.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred.
• Washington state license in hand at submission.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience.
• Epic charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care in Level III Trauma Center.
• Night shift: 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00–07:00.
• Weekend work every other weekend.
• Float between units within system.
• No on-call requirement.
• Interpret ABGs and basic EKGs.
• Ventilator management and airway support (BiPAP/CPAP).
• Administer respiratory meds and manage delivery systems.
• Work across adult ICU, ED, pediatrics, NICU as needed.
• Travelers may float to sister facilities.

Requirements

• Active RRT certification required

• Washington state license required in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for compliance

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care, Level III Trauma Center with 104 staffed beds
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Weekend work required every other weekend
• Floating between units required
• No on-call required
• Varied patient ratios
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Work within adult critical care, emergency department, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and NICU settings
• Perform ventilator management, BiPAP, CPAP, and airway management procedures
• Administer a range of respiratory medications and manage medication delivery systems
• Perform pulmonary hygiene, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Assist with high risk deliveries and neonatal/pediatric procedures as needed
• Interpret ABGs and basic EKGs
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the system
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Previous Providence employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
• Scrub color is unrestricted across all units
