Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in a combined MSICU/CVICU unit. BLS and ACLS certifications are required, with a minimum of two years’ experience. The role demands independent work and a license if applicable.

Shifts run 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with no on-call requirements. ICU exposure includes ventilator management, bronchoscopy, and ABG procedures. Housing assistance and travel reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to function well independently
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined 20-bed Medical Surgical ICU and 20-bed Cardiovascular ICU
• Staffing includes 7 day shift and 6 night shift respiratory therapists
• Patient ratios estimated at no more than 6 vents per therapist
• Uses PB840, PB980, Hamilton C1, and MR1 ventilators along with Bipap V60
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No call requirements
• Perform bedside bronchoscopy, ventilator management, and arterial blood gas (ABG) procedures
• Scrub color requirement is light grey
• Facility recognized among 100 Best Hospitals by Health Grades and received a Pulmonary Care Award
• Local candidates will not be considered
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
