Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for an acute care hospital position in Utah. CRT certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience are required. Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred and there is a 36-hour weekly schedule with 12-hour day shifts.

The assignment includes a housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, and benefits such as health, dental and vision insurance, plus a 401(k) plan. Eligible candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active State or Compact (NLC) license required if applicable.
• Current ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP and PALS certifications required.
• Pending licenses or certifications not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Work in acute care Respiratory Therapy department.
• Use EPIC EMR for documentation and orders.
• 12-hour day shifts 6a–6p.
• Every other weekend rotation.
• 36 hours per week.
• Must reside within 60 miles of the facility.
• Orientation requires in-state presence during week.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Active State or Compact (NLC) license required if applicable
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS (AHA), CRT (NBRC), NRP, PALS
• Pending licenses or certifications not accepted
• Driver's license copy required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within the Respiratory Therapy department
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 12-hour day shifts from 6a-6p
• Every other weekend rotation
• 36 hours per week
• Must be in-state for orientation week, even if initial modules are completed remotely
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility
• Candidates previously employed directly (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year are not eligible; prior PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
• Requires two professional references: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
