Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift role at a Level I trauma acute care hospital in Springfield, IL. The candidate will handle adult critical care and emergency department needs with Cerner EMR experience.

Responsibilities include night shifts of 12 hours, rotating weekends, on-call duties, and potential floating within the facility or to nearby affiliates. BLS and RRT certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
• BLS and RRT certification required.
• IL license required if applicable for Illinois postings.
• Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience required.
• Experience with endotracheal tubes, suctioning, intubation assist, and airway management.
• Experience with handheld, T-piece, and trach collar nebulizers.
• Experience with bag-mask, ET tube, HFNC, T-piece, trach collar, and venturi mask oxygen therapy.
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP and weaning from mechanical ventilation.

Responsibilities

• Night shift, 4x12 hours, at a Level I trauma acute care hospital.
• Provide care for adult ICU and ED patients with Cerner charting.
• On-call as needed and possible hospital-wide floating.
