Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Robinson, Illinois. The role requires an active RRT license and BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications, with a 36-hour week on a 12-hour night shift.

The assignment spans 13 weeks with start date on or around 11/21/2026. You will work in a cardiopulmonary care unit providing respiratory therapy services, documenting care in EMR systems and ensuring patient safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Active IL Respiratory Therapist license required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS required.
• RRT certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills with EMR navigation.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and airway management.
• Provide night shift care in a 3x12hr schedule.
• Administer therapies per physician orders.
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR.
• Monitor patient vital signs and ABGs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and ensure safety.
• Maintain hand-off communications during shift changes.
