Job summary

Cross Country Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Springfield, Illinois, starting 10/19/2026 for 13 weeks. Schedule is 3x12 night shifts (1800-0630) totaling 36 hours per week in a Level I trauma center setting with pediatric and adult patients.

Requirements include BLS and RRT, at least 1 year of adult critical care or ED experience, and active Illinois license. Cerner experience is preferred; travel benefits include housing options, health insurance,

Qualifications

• BLS and RRT required, with minimum 1 year of experience in adult critical care or emergency department settings.
• Active Illinois license required.

Responsibilities

• Airway management including endotracheal tube placement, suctioning, extubation, and intubation assist.
• Administer oxygen therapy using bag and mask, high flow nasal cannula, and ventilators.
• Manage mechanical ventilation including BiPAP/CPAP; troubleshoot alarms; wean from ventilation.
• Utilize Cerner charting system; work in adult ICU and ED with bedside bronchoscopy.
