American Traveler, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/L&D travel assignment in Indiana. RRT certification and at least 2 years of Level I NICU or PICU experience are required.

The position includes night shifts (3x12 or 4x12), weekend rotation, and facility-based floating to NICU/PICU/Peds with Cerner charting. Indiana license and strong pediatric expertise are essential; traveler benefits apply, including housing and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Current RRT certification through NBRC is required.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required (can be obtained after offer if placed in L&D).
• PALS certification preferred.
• Indiana state license required (license required if applicable).
• Minimum 2 years of NICU or PICU experience required.
• Children's hospital experience within the last 3-5 years required; Level I adult trauma facilities considered.
• L&D experience required.
• Education must be accredited by CoARC and regionally accredited by CHEA.
• Experience with medication delivery systems, ventilator management, and neonatal/pediatric airway management procedures.
• Ability to interpret Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs).
• 2 supervisor references required.
• SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsabilités

• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
• Every other weekend required.
• Home unit assigned as NICU, PICU, or Peds based on facility need once on site.
• Primary placement in L&D with floating to PICU and some Peds Acute Care.
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required for all travelers.
• Cerner charting experience required.
• Provide respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in NICU, PICU, and L&D settings.
• Perform medication administration, ventilator management, and airway management procedures for neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holiday pairs.
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
• IU Health related travel policy notes and local residency considerations.

• Current or past IU Health travelers with 12+ months of travel employment must take a designated consecutive break to reset eligibility (3 months for out-of-state residents, 6 months for in-state residents)
• Indiana residents are considered local candidates
• RTO of 5 days or less can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
