Sweetwater Care in Fargo, ND is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to independently perform respiratory care procedures, interpret physician orders, and evaluate resident responses. The RT will function as a consultant, educator, and clinician to clinical staff.

The role requires current CRT/RRT credentials, BLS certification, and experience in ventilator management and long-term care settings. Excellent communication with residents, families, and healthcare teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have current state-registered Respiratory Therapist credentials.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Promote healing of acutely ill residents via respiratory care and education.
• Administer respiratory therapies, ventilatory support, and life support as prescribed.
• Set up and manage medical gas delivery, humidification, aerosols, medications, and airway management.
• Oversee rehab department clinical management including case management and quality improvement.
• Coordinate equipment orders and track maintenance and service needs.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to integrate respiratory care into daily practice.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans for residents.
• Develop discharge plans and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
