Zusammenfassung

Sweetwater Care seeks a Certified Respiratory Therapist to provide independent respiratory care, assess resident needs, and deliver prescribed therapy. You will function as a consultant, educator, and clinician to clinical staff, ensuring safe and effective patient care within a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, gas administration, airway care, and collaboration with nursing leadership to integrate respiratory services into daily practice.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required.
• Must hold CRT or RRT license in the state practiced.
• Current BLS (required), ACLS (preferred).
• Finger Print Clearance is current.
• TB test within the last year.
• Physical within the last 6 months.
• COVID vaccination/card.
• Ventilator unit experience required; LTC or skilled nursing preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, and governmental agencies.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal guidelines and regulations in the state of practice.

Aufgaben

• Promotes healing of acutely ill residents through respiratory care, diagnostics, education.
• Delivers respiratory care including intermittent/continuous therapy and ventilation.
• Sets up and administers medical gases, humidification, aerosols, medications, ventilatory support, and airway management.
• Oversees rehab department management, case management, quality improvement, and care planning.
• Coordinates equipment use and documentation with referrals, physicians, and staff.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership to integrate respiratory care into daily practice.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates respiratory therapy care for residents across the center.
• Tracks preventative maintenance and follow-up on respiratory therapy equipment.
• Develops discharge plans and coordinates care transitions.
