Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner with RRT certification for a day shift travel assignment in Maryland. The role requires active license, RRT and BLS, and prior travel experience.

You will handle ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway care while rotating with facility staff. The position offers travel pay, housing allowances, benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and per diem subsidies.

Qualifications

• Active MD license or compact RN license required.
• Current certifications include RRT and BLS.
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience preferred.
• Prior travel experience required.
• Experience with neonatal/pediatric respiratory equipment and procedures.
• Ventilator management and CPAP/BiPAP experience.
• Ability to interpret ABGs and manage airway equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic equipment-related patient assessments and coordinate DME setup.
• Day shift, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with 1:1 patient ratio.
• Record in Epic and align with floating policies.
• Travel assignments may involve holiday and weekend coverage.
• Coordinate equipment-related patient assessments and DME setup.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Local candidates not accepted except with approval for specific positions.
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius to receive travel pay rate.
• RTO must be submitted and approved prior to start.
• Travelers must separate after 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• Complete orientation and annual trainings via Relias/Net Learning.
