Job summary

Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD is seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support the Respiratory Care Department in a high-acuity acute care setting serving adult and critical care patients.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering ventilator management, airway care, high-flow oxygen therapy, and respiratory interventions across ICU, ER and inpatient floors. Shift: Night (4x12) 18:30–7:00.

Qualifications

• NBRC RRT credential and Maryland license required or ability to obtain.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• 1–2+ years recent acute care experience.
• ICU and/or ER experience strongly preferred.
• Prior travel experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and deliver respiratory therapy treatments.
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and airway support.
• Participate in rapid response and code blue situations.
• Administer nebulizer therapy, bronchodilator therapy, and aerosol treatments.
• Perform ABG draws and interpretation.
• Provide respiratory support in ICU, ER, and inpatient units.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility protocols.
