The role includes a night schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with every other weekend, holidays as needed, and travel-ready qualifications such as BLS/ACLS. MD license may be required and a flu vaccine is mandated.

Qualifications

• RRT or CRT certification accepted.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years.
• Adult critical care, ED, and transport experience required.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required.
• MD state license required if applicable.
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment.
• Flu vaccine required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy position.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holiday coverage as needed.
• Adult critical care, Emergency Department, and patient transport settings.
• Cares for patients with ARDS, COVID, fresh tracheostomy, and pneumonia.
• Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation.
• Administers aerosol and nebulizer treatments and various respiratory medications.
• Performs airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and suctioning.
• Black scrub color required.
• Off-cycle orientation accepted, starting any Monday.
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate.
• Candidates must have been separated from previous employment at this health system for at least one year before returning as a traveler.
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no time off during the first two weeks of assignment.
