Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-time Traveling Day Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Macon State Prison in Oglethorpe, GA. The role focuses on holistic nursing care for incarcerated patients, under the DON and Nursing Supervisor, with a 36-hour week and every other weekend.

GA RN license or ability to obtain, 2+ years RN experience, CPR/BLS, and willingness to travel across Georgia are required. Comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Georgia RN license or ability to obtain a license.
• At least two (2) years of RN experience.
• Must live 50 miles or more from facility.
• Must travel throughout Georgia as needed per contract.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Corrections experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain security clearance, including drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the DON/Supervisor.
• Assess, identify and respond to physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.

We are currently seeking a Full-time Traveling Day Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Centurion Eagles Travel Team at Macon State Prison located in Oglethorpe, GA. Our travelers have opportunities throughout the country and are full-time, benefit-eligible Centurion employees.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological, and social needs of patients.

Shift Information: 36 hour weeks with every other weekend.

Qualifications:

• Georgia RN license or the ability to obtain a license
• At least two (2) years of RN experience
• Must live 50 miles or more from facility
• Must have open availability to travel throughout the state of Georgia as needed per contract needs
• Current CPR/BLS
• Corrections experience not required, but preferred
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
