HealthForce Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 16-week travel assignment in Middlebury, Vermont. The role covers Labor and Delivery, with 12-hour night shifts and a 3x12 schedule. Start date is 11/09/2026; weekly pay ranges from $2,697 to $2,807, with guaranteed hours not guaranteed.

The position requires BLS and NRP, Epic expertise, and prior LDRP experience. You will float to Med-Surg and ED as needed and support newborn education and family resources.

Qualifications

• RN license required with US state licensure and eligibility for Vermont if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year LDRP experience; travel nursing preferred.
• Must have Epic experience within the past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborns per unit protocols.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, and support discharge planning.
• Collaborate with obstetric physicians, midwives, and ED staff to handle emergencies.
• Document in Epic and maintain accurate charting.
• Float to Med-Surg and ED as needed, maintaining safety and competency.
• Support families with newborn care education and lactation resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for patients in Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care per unit protocols
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, perform assessments, administer medications and interventions per orders, and support postpartum discharge planning
• Collaborate with obstetric physicians, midwives, nurses, anesthesia, and ancillary teams to coordinate care and respond to obstetric emergencies
• Maintain accurate Epic documentation, ensure timely charting, and participate in care planning and patient education
• Float to Med-Surg and Emergency Department units as needed, maintaining safety and competency across units
• Support families with newborn care education and lactation resources; uphold infection control and patient safety standards
• Must be available to work two of the four holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day

Requirements

• Certifications: AHA BLS and NRP required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience (Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care); prior travel experience preferred
• Special requirements: Epic experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable); ability to float to Med-Surg and ED units as needed
• Additional notes: RN must have experience in the birthing department; schedule includes occasional weekend and holiday coverage as needed
