Healthforce is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Saint Johnsbury, VT. Start 10/14/2026 for 13 weeks, with 36 guaranteed hours weekly on night shifts (7 pm–7 am).

The role involves a nine-bed ED in a rural Critical Access Hospital with ongoing expansion and substantial patient volume. Weekly pay ranges are provided, and credentialing is accelerated with travel support.

Qualifications

Current Vermont or compact multi-state RN license.
BLS and ACLS required; TNCC preferred.
Minimum 3 years ER RN experience.
Proficiency with Meditech or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED (nine-bed unit) serving a high annual patient volume.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care; monitor patient status and outcomes; respond to emergencies.
Administer medications, IV therapies, wound care, and other treatments as ordered; monitor for adverse effects.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, initiate consultations, and manage patient flow.
Document care in the electronic health record and participate in continuous quality improvement and safety initiatives.
