Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. in Palmyra, VA is seeking a Lead Warehouse Technician to manage receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. You will ensure accurate order fulfillment, track inventory, and enforce safety and packaging guidelines while operating equipment.

This role requires heavy travel and may involve overtime, on-call duties, and travel to support the team. A strong background in warehousing and forklift/pallet jack operation is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; relevant work experience accepted.
• Five years of warehouse or material handling experience.
• Valid state driver’s license (no provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Able to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a medical card.
• Experience operating forklift and pallet jack.
• Knowledge of computer and inventory control systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and prepare periodic audits as needed.
• Resolve shortages and manage packaging material restocking.
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment according to pick tickets and customer requirements.
• Check and verify inventory to ensure availability of needed stock.
• Package and ship products according to packaging guidelines.
• Stock shelves and put away new materials.
• Organize pick tickets and cross-check with packing slips and work orders.
• Receive, unload, and inspect shipments; confirm with packing slips and POs.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift for loading/unloading.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities.
