Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Solar Technician to operate and maintain Maple Flats Energy Center, a 250 MW-AC solar facility in Louisville IL. You will perform routine maintenance on solar, substation, and related equipment, troubleshoot inverter and tracker faults, and manage site safety.

The role requires 1 year of technical experience, ability to travel 30%, and willingness to work nights and outdoors. A valid driver’s license and US work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year technical experience in electrical or related field.
• Willing to travel up to 30%.
• Willing to support other project sites in the region.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance activities.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site solar, substation, and equipment.
• Perform vegetation management and operate large equipment as per plan.
• Troubleshoot inverter faults, tracker faults, networking, ground faults, collection issues, and substation issues.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of solar site equipment.
• Conduct daily site maintenance with safety gear to inspect and repair equipment.
• Work 7:00am–3:30pm with potential overtime, nights, and peak-season shifts.
• Maintain tooling, facilities, and a clean, safe work environment.
