Job summary

Hillwood Construction Services is hiring a Project Engineer in Dallas to support industrial construction projects across the region. You will coordinate meetings, assist with pre-construction planning, and help manage schedules and budgets.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1–5 years of experience in commercial construction. Travel is required to project locations, with relocation considered for strong candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in building construction science, Construction Management, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with construction project management software is strongly preferred.
• 1–5 years of experience in commercial general contracting or related roles; recent graduates considered.
• Internship/Co-op experience in commercial or industrial construction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pre-construction planning and meetings; prepare and maintain meeting minutes.
• Support buy-out and estimating efforts; perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Assist in procurement, tracking long lead times, and coordinating materials.
• Coordinate and update project schedules with PM, Superintendent, and subs.
• Review and distribute project documents, logs, submittals, shop drawings, and drawings.
• Support PM in supervising schedules and budgets; prepare status reports.
