Fire & Safety Specialists, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Fire Protection Inspection Technician to test, inspect, and maintain commercial and industrial fire protection systems.

You will work with a team devoted to safety, quality, and customer service, and travel to project sites as needed. The role requires active licenses in fire protection disciplines and a track record in installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, or repair.

Qualifications

• Active license in one or more fire protection systems (fire suppression, detection, fire alarm, sprinkler, or fire extinguisher).
• Experience in installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, or repair of fire protection systems.
• Ability to travel up to 40% for project assignments outside the local area.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safe use of hand/power tools.
• Clear verbal and written communication for field service reports.
• Clean driving record and strict safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify issues or defects during checks and perform accurate repairs.
• Complete precise service reports detailing system status and work performed.
• Collaborate on-site with clients to address technical questions and provide guidance.
• Follow OSHA and site safety guidelines during installation and testing.
• Support travel-based project teams while maintaining high technical standards.
