Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking an Inspector to inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems, pumps and backflows with minimal supervision at our Chattanooga, TN location.

You will record deficiencies, communicate with customers and monitoring companies, and plan inspections while staying compliant with NFPA codes. On-call duties and driving responsibilities are included in the role.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; NICET and/or state certification preferred by location.
• 3–5 years’ experience inspecting fire protection systems; 5+ years preferred.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with strong problem solving and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems per NFPA codes and components.
• Record deficiencies and report to SFS and customers; coordinate inspections.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies professionally.
• Operate inspection tools safely and plan inspections as scheduled.
• On-call status to handle emergency service and inspection requests.
