Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Service Technician to maintain, repair, and support industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems at customer sites across North America.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical controls, safety leadership, and customer service, with mentorship of apprentices. The position follows a 10-day tour schedule, working 50-60 hours per week and potential heavy lifting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC tech school preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Universal EPA certification OR ability to obtain.
• RETA 1&2 certification preferred.
• Safety-sensitive position with pre-employment drug testing.
• Able to wear respirator and pass fit test; able to lift up to 50 lb regularly and 75 lb occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert repair and maintenance for industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Perform routine and emergency service, diagnostics, and inspections on screw and reciprocal compressors.
• Troubleshoot and repair control systems, alarms, and electrical systems.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies, including PPE and respirators.
• Communicate clearly with Service Managers and customers to coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Mentor and support apprentice technicians in developing skills and maintaining service quality.
