Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services are seeking an Equipment Operator to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines using heavy equipment. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL is preferred.

You will work full-time, travel for storm restoration, and perform equipment maintenance as needed. Responsibilities include upholding safety standards, preparing gear daily, leading crew tasks when required, and coordinating with Foreperson on daily activities.

Qualifications

• Prior heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Experience with vegetation management or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to remove tree material from electrical lines.
• Follow safe practices and enforce safety rules.
• Prepare equipment and materials for daily work as directed.
• Maintain and repair equipment and tools used.
• Lead and assist crew members as needed.
• Set up barriers and signs to protect workers and the public.
• Report mileage and stay informed on new equipment and procedures.
• Perform storm-related duties as required.
