Job summary

PDS Health is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant in Phoenix, AZ to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and Patient for Life (PFL). You will assist with patient care, front-office coordination, and lab duties, contributing to a positive, efficient clinic environment.

The role requires adherence to state guidelines, travel between offices when needed, and collaboration with specialty teams to ensure smooth orthodontic schedules and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and state-m mandated certification/licensure.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Occasional travel between multiple offices may be required; reliable transportation is needed.
• Preferred: one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school.
• Travel may be planned or unplanned and is subject to change.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in accordance with the state’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist PPE by focusing on patient comfort and needs.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Coordinate with front/back office to keep orthodontic schedules running smoothly.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, sterile operatory per infection guidelines.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist during procedures.
• Complete radiographs and intra-oral images as directed by the clinician.
• Prepare tray setups and stock operatories to ensure efficient patient care.
• Record charting and clinician notes in the digital patient chart as directed.
• Support treatment records, consents and health history presentation to the clinician.
