Job summary

PDS Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians in delivering the Perfect Patient Experience and building patients for life. You will perform clinical, sterile, and some front-office tasks while collaborating with specialty teams to ensure efficient orthodontic workflows.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: As mandated by applicable state.
• Specialty Dental Assistants must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Specialty Dental Assistants may travel to multiple offices daily; reliable transportation required.
• One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform functions per the applicable state’s Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Actively participate in PPE to keep patients focused on optimal treatment and address individual needs.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Coordinate with front and back office to ensure orthodontists schedule runs smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; sterilize and disinfect instruments.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to enable efficient, quality care.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed by the clinician.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain inventory in each operatory.
