Job summary

Clayco, a national real estate development and construction firm, is seeking a Corporate Insurance Claims Analyst to support the Corporate Insurance Department with workers’ compensation claim reporting, documentation, and financial reporting across the enterprise.

The role starts with reporting and tracking and expands to investigations, reserve analyses, settlement strategy, and claim resolution. You’ll work with safety, project teams, and third‑party administrators to manage claims.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with workers’ compensation claims; interest in learning requirements across multiple states.
• Prior experience in claims administration, insurance, occupational safety, workers’ compensation, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to work with claim payments, reserves, loss runs, and other financial information.
• Professional and approachable disposition, with the ability to communicate effectively in sensitive situations.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and report workers’ compensation claims accurately and timely.
• Collect and maintain claim documentation and follow up with the appropriate internal and external parties.
• Track claim status, medical treatment, work restrictions, lost time, and return-to-work information.
• Coordinate and reconcile monthly claim payments, reserves, and related financial information.
• Prepare claim and financial-impact reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in claim reviews and, as experience develops, assist with investigations, reserve evaluations, litigation strategy, and settlement decisions.
• Maintain accurate and confidential claim records.
• Assist with other claim-related responsibilities within the Corporate Insurance Department.
