Job summary

Divcon is seeking a hands-on Control Technician to support DDC/BAS and PLC project work. You will perform installation verification, point-to-point checkout, startup support, and field documentation under supervision, with regular travel to customer sites.

You’ll work with field teams on system startups (VAV/FPB/FCU, AHUs) and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure proper operation, logging issues and maintaining project records. Travel per diem and lodging are provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field experience with control systems wiring and QA/QC documentation.
• Experience in active construction environments and coordinating with project teams.
• Experience with Niagara, BACnet, Modbus, or similar controls platforms.

Responsibilities

• Start up, commission, and re-commission systems using DDC/PLC tech.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mid-level system problems and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Verify field installation against drawings and project docs; flag discrepancies.
• Provide turnkey delivery on specific site systems.
• Document work daily in QC forms and logs.
• Understand and verify communications protocols and network topology.
• Support commissioning with verification steps and QC forms under supervision.
