Job summary

Divcon is seeking a Control Technician to join our fast‑growing team in the United States. This hands‑on role supports DDC/BAS or PLC projects, performing startup, verification, and field documentation across client sites with frequent travel.

You will work under Senior/Lead Technicians to install, verify, and troubleshoot systems, read drawings, and ensure conformance to project documents. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of controls installer experience or 1-2 years working in HVAC controls industry; equivalent training may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Start up, commission, re‑commission customer systems that utilize DDC or PLC technology.
• Provide solutions to mid‑level systems problems; coordinate with subcontractors to ensure proper operation.
• Verify field installation against drawings, schedules, and project documentation; flag discrepancies to Supervisor or Senior/Lead Technician.
• Provide turnkey project delivery on specific site systems (Unitary: VAV/FPB/FCU; Small AHUs/CRAHs; Basic CW/HW).
• Perform verification checks in accordance with L2–L4 requirements; support L5 and IST commissioning for turnkey datacenter execution.
• Understand common communication protocols and network types (BACnet MS/TP, BACnet IP, Modbus RTU/TCP, LON, EtherNet/IP, RS-485, Ethernet).
• Support commissioning by executing installation verification, point‑to‑point checkout, functional test steps, and QC forms; escalate when needed.
• Document work daily in QC forms, commissioning documents, and customer/project systems; log deficiencies and drawings issues.
• Maintain familiarity with AEC/construction processes and documents (plans, specs, submittals, RFIs).
