Job summary

Divcon in Dallas, TX, seeks a Control Technician to join the field team. You will start up, commission and support DDC/PLC projects, document activities, and escalate issues as needed.

Travel is required with per diem and lodging provided; you will verify installations against drawings and lead point-to-point checkout.

This role builds hands-on skills across unitary systems, AHUs, and CW/HW, with strong focus on safety and QA/QC.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years controls installer experience or equivalent training may be considered.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and basic controls strategies during point-to-point checkout and startup.
• Understanding of low-voltage control circuits and safety requirements.
• Operator-level familiarity with DDC/BAS or PLC platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Delta enteliWEB, Distech, Siemens Desigo, JCI Metasys, Schneider EcoStruxure, Rockwell Studio 5000 or similar.
• Read ladder diagrams, wiring schematics, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Start up, commission, and re-commission customer systems using DDC or PLC technology.
• Verify field installation against drawings, schedules, and project docs; flag discrepancies.
• Provide turnkey project delivery on site systems (Unitary, AHUs, CW/HW).
• Perform verification checks L2–L4 and support L5 and IST commissioning for turnkey data centers.
• Document work daily and escalate issues before unapproved field modifications.
• Travel as required; collaborate with subcontractors and other trades.
