Job summary

The Assurance Associate at BDO USA, PC will prepare financial statements with disclosures and apply GAAP, documenting control tests and evaluating internal controls for client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics or CPA certification required.
• Master’s in Accountancy preferred.
• CPA eligibility to sit for CPA exams required at start of employment.
• Leadership and internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements with disclosures and apply GAAP as needed.
• Document and validate the client’s internal control system.
• Research intermediate accounting topics and form initial opinions independently.
• Apply GAAS and assist in audits, reviews, and agreed-upon procedures.
• Document work papers and ensure compliance with firm methodology.
• Travel as required to meet client needs.
