Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Assurance Associate to help prepare financial statements with disclosures and apply basic GAAP principles. The role includes documenting and validating internal controls and supporting audit procedures as needed.

You will participate in GAAS-based engagements, research accounting topics, and communicate conclusions clearly. Occasional travel to client sites will be required to meet engagement needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics required OR Bachelor's degree in other focus area and CPA certification required.
• Master's in Accountancy preferred.
• CPA exams eligibility required or progressing toward CPA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements with disclosures and GAAP considerations.
• Document and validate internal controls and testing results.
• Assist with reviews or agreed-upon procedures engagements when needed.
• Travel to meet firm and client needs.
