Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a part-time X-Ray Technologist for a night shift assignment in Oregon. ARRT (R) certification and at least 1 year of experience are required. Compact state license must be on hand; BLS is preferred. The role uses GE/Philips imaging systems with PACS for image review.

First-time travelers are welcome; housing and licensure reimbursements are offered. Local candidates may be considered with a lower rate.

Responsibilities

• Use Epic for charting and PACS for image access.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and radiation safety practices.

American Traveler is hiring a part-time X-Ray Technologist for a night shift assignment, open to first-time travelers, requiring ARRT (R) certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Requirements

• ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in abdomen/GI, upper and lower extremity, spine and pelvis, chest and thorax, and mobile/surgical imaging required
• Fluoroscopy study experience preferred
• Trauma imaging experience for upper and lower extremities preferred
• Experience working in adult acute care, outpatient, ED, ICU, PICU, and OR settings

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care teaching hospital setting with 59 staffed beds
• Weekend night shifts, 3x10 hours, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM
• 1:1 patient ratio
• No on-call requirements
• No floating between units required
• Uses Epic for charting
• Equipment includes GE and Philips imaging systems and PACS
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across a range of settings including bedside/portable, ED, ICU, PICU, and OR
• Follow infection prevention protocols including isolation precautions, PPE use, and radiation safety practices
• Scrubs may be any color
• No parking fee at this facility
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Local radius rule of 50 miles applies
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Minimal RTO accommodations available; candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
